How to Order Evacuation Maps

Ordering evacuation maps sounds like a big job. It isn't. You send us your floor plans, tell us where the safety equipment is, and approve the finished maps.

  1. Send your floor plans

Any format works: PDF, CAD, an image, even a photo of a printout. If the plans are old or rough, just say so and we will work with them.

  2. Mark up your plan

Mark your extinguishers, alarm pulls, exits and assembly points on a copy of the plan and send it back. You are the only one who knows where they are.

  3. We draw the maps

Made for your building and the code that applies in your area, by people who do this every day. Nothing is needed from you at this stage.

  4. You approve twice

First a layout template, then the final artwork. Nothing gets produced until you have seen and signed off on it. Revisions at either stage are expected, not a problem.

Two ways to receive your maps

The first four steps are the same either way. The difference is what arrives at the end.

Digital Signs

We design, you print. Final artwork is delivered digitally and print-ready, so you can produce the signs through your own printer or in-house facility.

Design + Signs

We design the maps and produce the finished signs. Same design service as above, then we handle the material, the printing, the finishing and the delivery - in acrylic, aluminum or PVC, the durable substrates codes require.

How long does it take?

Mostly, that depends on how quickly we collaborate. Our design process moves fast, the main timeline variable is the review stage. Turn around approvals same-day, and your project flies; leave proof reviews pending for weeks, and things stall.

Printed signs add production and shipping to that timeline, and we plan both around the date you need them. Tell us when the signs have to be on the wall and we will work back from it.

Need Inspector Sign-off First?

Code compliance comes down to your local Authority Having Jurisdiction, and interpretations vary from inspector to inspector. We can provide initial artwork proofs for pre-approval, because making a quick digital tweak is always easier than reprinting dozens of finished signs.
